Murphy Monitor

The Murphy Monitor published it's first pages over 30 years ago in neighboring newspaper, The Wylie News. The Monitor appeared at the request of citizens in Murphy to then publisher News' publisher Truett Smith.

Today's Murphy Monitor began as a separate newspaper on February 5, 2005 and has continued to serve the city of Murphy with balanced coverage of city hall, community events, business development and the Plano and Wylie school districts.
