Murphy officials want residents to know Reliant Energy will have approximately eight solicitors in the Plano/Murphy/Wylie area for about a week conducting door-to-door sales.

All of these solicitors should be wearing Reliant Energy identification badges,  officials said.

“As always, for your own personal safety, use precaution when answering your door to strangers,” the city said in a news release.
