Plano skates past Panthers, 4-3
Despite having a two-man advantage during the final five seconds of the Feb. 14 game with Plano, the Panthers were unable to score and lost 4-3.
East is scheduled to face Plano West at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Plano.
Plano scored first last week, but Andrew Mobley quickly tied the contest. After the Wildcats retook the lead with 5:31 remaining in the first period, East tied it again on a Matt Robinson goal.
However, Plano scored one more time in the first to take a 3-2 lead, which they increased to 4-2 with a second-period score.
That’s how it stood until the third period, when Zach Patteson’s score cut the margin to one.
