Tillman Willie (T.W. or Dub) Williams
Tillman Willie Williams died July 9, 2008, at Memorial Herman Hospital in The Woodlands. He was surrounded by his wife of 65 years, Maxine, his two children and five grandchildren."
Mr. Williams was born Oct. 25, 1925, to Tillman Willie Williams Sr. and Leona Naomi (Rowell) Williams in Collin County where he spent his early years. He later lived and worked in Dallas for a few years before returning to Collin County where he raised his family in Wylie.
Mr. Williams worked at and retired from the Safeway Food Store Warehouse off Garland Road and LBJ Freeway.
He regularly attended the Wylie United Methodist Church until relocating to the The Woodlands where he and Mrs. Williams attended The Woodlands United Methodist Church.
He was active in local projects in Wylie such as band boosters, volunteer work at the Methodist church, and the Junior Chamber of Commerce. In addition to his favorite pastime of enjoying the company of his family and friends, his family said he enjoyed a good game of dominoes. “He also enjoyed reminiscing and catching up on local events with his friends in Wylie whom he referred to as ‘The Coffee Club.’ ” they said.
When he and Mrs. Williams moved to The Woodlands they made many friends and enjoyed the activities offered at The Forum Retirement Facility, the family said.
Mr. Williams was preceded in his passing by his parents; brothers, Morris (Son) Williams, Hershel Williams, and Ray Williams; and sisters, Rena Davis and Viola Cook.
Survivors include his wife, Maxine (Cross) Williams; son Billy and his wife Carolyn of Weatherford; daughter, Brenda (Williams) Smith and her husband Jerry of The Woodlands; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren with two more expected soon.
Wiley Coy Stephenson
Funeral services for Wiley Coy Stephenson were held July 9, 2008, at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel in Rockwall. Interment followed in Rest Haven Memorial Park.
Mr. Stephenson died July 7 at home surrounded by his family.
He served in the United States Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell Stephenson; sons, Mike Stephenson and his wife Christi, Terry Stephenson and his wife Kathy and Sam Stephenson and his wife Shellie; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, Robert Stephenson and his wife Robbie; sister-in-law June Stephenson and many nieces and nephews.
John Louis Porter
Funeral services for John (Johnny) Louis Porter of Wylie will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at Allen Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. July 17 at Bell Springs Cemetery in Bynum.
Mr. Porter, 72, died July 12, 2008.
He was born in Malone on Oct. 2, 1935, to the late Tommy Porter and Mae (Kruger) Hill.
Mr. Porter was a painter by profession and was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include Sherrie Rogers and Scott Laney and family of Wylie, sister-in-law LueJean Porter of Hillsboro, and nieces Paula Childre, Pam Pechel and Cathy Roznos.

Carol Stevenson Barrett
Funeral services for Carol Stevenson, 48, were held June 28, 2008, at Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home in Sachse. Burial followed at Sachse Cemetery.
The Rev. Roger Berghauser, the Rev. Bobby Baker and the Rev. Harry Shomaker officiated.
Mrs. Stevenson died June 26.
She was born Nov. 24, 1959.
Survivors include her husband, Jay Barrett; parents, Johnny and Frances Stevenson; lifelong friend, Cathy Gonzalez and other extended family members including her five cats, two dogs and three birds.
According to her family, Mrs. Barrett received Foley’s Savvy Award in 2000 for outstanding charity work.
She was involved in the Spina Bifida Association of Dallas, Turning Point, SWAA and Dallas Jr. Texans Wheelchair Basketball.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home.
Cecil D. Young
Funeral services for Cecil D. Young, 79, of Lavon and longtime resident of Garland were held July 2, 2008, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Chapel. Graveside services followed at Sulphur Springs Cemetery in Sulphur Springs.
David Davy officiated.
Mr. Young died June 29, 2008, in Rowlett.
He was born Jan. 31, 1929, in Sulphur Springs to the late Cecil Carl and Vannie Jewell Miller Young.
Mr. Young served in the United States Army Air Corp during World War II and was a charter member of Saturn Road Church of Christ. He was a member of the Garland Masonic Lodge #441 and the Hella Temple Shrine and Scottish Rites. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Joyce Sewell Young; sons, Ronny Young and his wife Dee and Carl Steven Young and his wife Stacey; grandchildren, Lance Young, Lacey Young Morrow and Sarah Young; five great-grandchildren and one step-great-grandson; and sister, Nell Young Jackson.
Mary A. Rowell
Funeral services for Mary A. Rowell, 79, were held July 8, 2008, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Chapel. Interment followed at D/FW National Cemetery.
Mrs. Rowell died July 4 in Irving.
She was born March 19, 1929, in Hazelhurst, Miss., to Elsie Allen and Mae Beavers Allen who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Sardis Baptist Church.
According her family, Mrs. Rowell was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was buried next to her husband, Harold Rowell, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Gary Rowell, Derby Rowell and Dennie Rowell and his wife Kristin; daughters, Anita Witt and her husband Richard, Lisa Burbridge and her husband Joseph and Nina Rowell and her husband Billy; 10 grandchildren, Alyssa Rowell, Jessica Witt, Ashley Kugler, Austin Burbridge, Amanda Witt, Dallas Burbridge, Falyn Rowell, B.J. Rowell, Dalton Rowell and Quiton Rowell; and sister, Dorothy Jasper.

John Eric Reese
Graveside services for John Reese of DeSoto were held June 18, 2008, at Thompson Cemetery in Copeville.

Mr. Reese died June 15 in Dallas.
He was born Oct. 21, 1935, in Wylie to the late Eric Artic and Gladis May (Durbin) Reese.
According to his family, after graduating from high school, Mr. Reese joined the United States Marine Corp. He had been a printing manager with Vought Aviation prior to his retirement.
Mr. Reese is survived by his wife, Dana Reese of DeSoto; sons, Jay Reese of Palmer and Reginald Reese of Arlington; stepdaughter, Nancy Dodson of Flower Mound; stepsons, Jeff Moreland of DeSoto, Joe Moreland of Rockwall and Jason Moreland of Glenn Heights and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral services were under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.
Alfred Ray Bozarth
Graveside services for Alfred Ray Bozarth of Princeton were held June 28, 2008, at Highland Cemetery in Melissa.
The Rev. Harry Morris officiated.
Mr. Bozarth died June 25 in Wylie.
He was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Silver Point, Tenn., to the late William Henry Bozarth and Essie Vanell (Marcum) Mervin.
He married Beatrice Jenks in 1952 in Durant, Okla., and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a employed by Wal-Mart as a greeter and was a member of the Grace Assembly of God Church in Princeton.
Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Bozarth of Princeton; sons, Allen Bozarth and Steve Bozarth, both of Princeton; daughters, Linda Henson of Mesquite, Brenda Pove of Arlington and Deborah Traut of Angora, Minn.; brother, Ralph Bozarth of Richmond, Ind., half-brother, Ricky Mervin of Cedar Creek; sister, Roslie Wegschider of Lancaster, Willeen Newman of Highland Village; half-sister, Karen Arias of Cedar Creek; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Charles Junior Jones

Mr. Jones died June 26 in St. Paul.
He was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Mt. Pleasant to Charles Cleburn and Opal Lee (Smith) Jones. He married Nancy Sweeden Aug. 12, 1966, in Garland and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lavon.
Survivors include his wife Nancy Jones of St. Paul; daughter, BaLinda Christine Aboudubai of Nevada; son, Ken Jones of St. Paul; mother, Opal Jones of Copeville; brothers, Larry Jones of Copeville, Wayne Jones of Copeville and grandsons, Mason Jones and Joseph Aboudubai.

Mr. Bennett died June 13 in Plano.
He was born May 9, 1939, in Winnsboro to the late E.E. Bennett and Lila Bell Holland Bennett.
Survivors include sons, Donald Hall and his wife Denise of Wylie, Robert Hall and his wife Joline of Royse City and Ronald Bennett; daughter, Donna Foster; brothers Lloyd Bennett of Winnsboro, Haskell Bennett of Mississippi, and Douglas Bennett of Brownswood; sisters, Onita Murphy of Winnsboro and Claudine Rusk of Greenville; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

James Stephan Storie
Funeral services for James Stephan Storie of Wylie were held June 25, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Wylie. Interment followed at the Arledge Ridge Cemetery in Bonham.

Mr. Storie died June 21 in Wylie.
He was born Nov. 1, 1949, in Decatur, Ala., to James Walter and Clara Marie (Russell) Storie. He married Jo Ann Riemer on Sept. 28, 1975, in Ivanoe.
Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann of Wylie; son, Paul Bryant Storie of Wylie; daughter, Marjorie Claire Storie Gipson of Wylie; mother, Clara Marie Storie of Wylie; brother, Bobby Lee Storie of Garland; sister, Annette Marie Storie of Wylie and grandsons, Isaac and Luke Gipson.

Raymond Clark McSpadden
Funeral services for Raymond Clark McSpadden, 89, were held June 23, 2008, at St. Barnabas Espicopal Church in Garland. Father Richard Carlisle officiated.
Interment followed at the Nevada Cemetery with Father Oliver officiating.
Mr. McSpadden died June 20 in Plano surrounded by his family.
He was born Dec. 23, 1918, at the family farm in Nevada to the late Willie Ray and Stella (Clark) McSpadden.
According to his family, Mr. McSpadden grew up in Nevada and still owned the family farm at his time of death. While attending the University of Texas, he met Frances Helen Hill. They married on Aug. 28, 1939, in San Marcos. He served in the United States Army during World War II. After his service in the armed forces, he was in sales and management in the lumber business.
Mr. McSpadden was an active member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church where he sang in the choir. His family said he was an avid fan of the Texas Longhorns and enjoyed traveling and seeing new sights.
Survivors include son, John Leslie McSpadden of College Station; daughters, Linda Rae Engebretsen of Rockwall and Alice Ann Fremming of Port Aransas; sister, Merle Haven of Naples, Fla.; brother, George McSpadden of Gadsden, Ala.; special friend Margie Corse of Dallas; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Helen McSpadden.
Christine Delores Hensley
Funeral services for Christine Delores Hensley, 63, of Wylie were held June 21, 2008, at the First Assembly of God Church in Wylie. Interment followed at Kreymer Cemetery.
The Rev. Jerry North officiated.
Mrs. Hensley died June 19 in Dallas.
She was born Oct. 15, 1944, in Horatio, Ark., to the late Albert Perry and Christine Viola (Goodson) Wester. She married Alton Wayne Hensley on Oct. 16, 1973, in Mesquite.
Mrs. Hensley was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Wylie and had worked for Community Independent School District in food service.
Survivors include her husband, Alton Wayne Hensley of Wylie; sons, Eric Eugene Monaghen of Royse City and Alton Wayne Hensley Jr. of Wylie; daughters, Casandra Dorene Christopher of Nevada, Amanda Beth Williams of Lavon and Lisa Beaty of Bogota; brothers, J.W. Wester of Garland, Perry Wester of Wylie and Glen Wester of Wylie; sisters, Geraldine Hofford of Garland and Dorothy Wood of Lavon; and seven grandchildren.

Larry Keith Allen
Larry Allen of Wylie died June 14, 2008, in Garland.
Mr. Allen was born on Dec. 26, 1954, in McKinney. His parents are W. C. and Reta Allen.
He was a graduate of Wylie High School and married Susan M. Spurgin on April 12, 1974, in Wylie. He was a member of the Sachse Church of Christ.
Mr. Allen was active in the Wylie FFA. He spent time with the kids teaching grooming and care of the animals. According to his family, he loved the outdoors and was happiest when he could work outside. They said he enjoyed going to the deer lease just to spend time enjoying nature, but he most enjoyed the time he spent there with his boys.
“He will also be remembered as a prankster and for his great love of life,” they said.
Mr. Allen recently retired from the Plano Fire Department where he had been a firefighter for 30 years. He had also been a member of the Wylie Volunteer Fire Department for many years and had been the Wylie fire chief for 10 years.
Mr. Allen is survived by his wife, Susan Allen of Wylie; sons, Marcus Allen and James Allen, both of Parker; parents, W. C. and Reta Allen of Wylie; brother, Danny Allen, also of Wylie; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services were held June 16, at the First Baptist Church Wylie. Dr. A. L. Draper and Minister Eric Hogue officiated. Interment followed at the Wylie Cemetery.

Robert ‘Bobby’ Tapp
Funeral services for Robert Tapp, 61, were held June 9, 2008, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Sachse. Burial followed at Sachse Cemetery.

Mr. Tapp died June 5 in Rowlett.
He was born May 6, 1947, in Summerville, Ga., to the late Robert Bus Tapp and Jewell Battles Tapp.
Mr. Tapp served in the U.S. Army with a tour in Vietnam. He had worked for a number of years at Lattimore Properties and was an active member at Assembly of God Church in Plano and North City United Pentecostal Church in Garland.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Brenda Tapp; daughter, Shannon Reyes and her husband Ivan; two grandchildren, Savanna Campbell and Tony Silva; 11 brothers and sisters and Mom Margie.
Arrangements were under the direction of Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home of Sachse.

Mrs. Stringer died May 30.
She was born March 3, 1946, in Salem, Ohio to the late Elmer and Joyce Ellen (Kibler) Orsburn. She married Theodore Stringer Aug. 5, 1966, in Atwater, Ohio and was a member of Miller Road Baptist Curch in Garland.
Survivors include her husband, Theodore Stringer of Garland; sons, Samuel Boyd Stringer of Garland, Shade Augustus Stringer of Garland, James Edward Stringer of Nevada and Jeffrey Bryan Stringer of Garland; sister, Jackie J. Huebner of Tennessee; brothers, Ronald K. Orsburn of California, Robert C. Orsburn and Clifford S. Orsburn, both of South Carolina, and five grandchildren.

Christy Ann Skodak

Mrs. Skodak died May 27.
She was born Dec. 4, 1968, in Dallas to Donald E. and Nannon (Stoffregen) Holland.
Survivors include her husband, Carmen Skodak of Wylie; children, Matthew Skodak, Dawn Gentry, Kirstan Skodak and Faith Skodak, all of Wylie; parents, Donald and Nannon Holland and sister, Robbie Holland of Wylie.
She was preceded in death by daughters, Rebecca and Jacquelin Skodak and brother, Donald Holland.

Leta Vern Cardwell
Chapel services for Leta Vern Cardwell, 80, of Wylie were held May 26, 2008, at Allen Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Cardwell died May 24, 2008, in Wylie.
She was born Jan. 26, 1928, in Hewitt to the late Vernon Earl and Pearl Price (Welch) McClain. She married the late Harvey R. Cardwell Oct. 27, 1944, in Elm Mott.
Survivors include son, Harvey Cardwell Jr. of Wylie; daughter, Sondra Swart of West Tawakoni; brother, Clyde McClain of Sulphur Springs; sisters, Mary Stamm of Wylie, Mildred Woodruff of Robinson and Tommie Hefel Finger of Mart; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leslie McClain and sister, Rilda McCorkle.

John David Ellis
Funeral services for John David Ellis, 43, of Wylie were held May 31, 2008, at Wylie United Methodist Church.

Mr. Ellis died May 27 in Garland.
He was born Dec. 24, 1964, in El Paso to Ray Ellis and Mary (McElree) Ellis.
Mr. Ellis joined the United States Army and served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm as a motor transport operator. While serving in Desert Storm, he received several decorations, medals and campaign ribbons for his service in the Liberation of Kuwait.
Survivors include his parents, Ray and Mary Ellis of Wylie; daughter, Jordon Ellis of Wylie; brother, Phillip Ellis of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Lou Ann Mitchell of Wylie, Tammy Thomas of Farmersville and Tena Gray of Royse City.

She was born Aug. 11, 1921, in Plymouth, Mass., to the late James and Beatrice O’Keefe. She married Halburton H. Hatch Sept. 6, 1942, in Boston, Mass. She was a member of the Catholic faith.
According to her family, she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Halburton H. Hatch of Wylie; daughters, Michelle Morrical of Wylie and Pamela Parker of Princeton; sons, Gregory Hatch of Dallas, Stephen Hatch of Atlanta, Ga. and Dana Hatch of Indianapolis, Ind.; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Young died May 15 in Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett.
She was born March 20, 1919, in Dallas to Joe and Pearl Minton Overton. She was a technician for Texas Instruments.
She attended Full Gospel Assembly of God and was married to Rusty Young.
Survivors include her husband, Rusty Young of Nevada; sons, Kenneth James of Dallas, John Morris of Kaufman, Clarence Young of Conroe, Brad Young of Red Oak and James Morris of Point; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Zola Jean Henderson
Funeral services for Zola Jean Henderson, 75, were held May 23, 2008, at Allen Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henderson died May 20, 2008, in Plano.

She was born Nov. 29, 1953, in Mesquite to the late Oudrey (Buck) Lee and Daisy Elizabeth (Waller) Morrison.
She married Steve Gracy Jan. 7, 1994, in Nevada.
Survivors include her husband Steve Gracy of Nevada; sons, Tony Robert Pullen of Dallas, Jeremi Shane Gracy of Caddo Mills, Eric Len Gracy of Wylie and Micah Stephen Gracy of Wylie; brothers, Larry Morrison of Plano and Gary Morrison of Nevada; sister, Lana Duncan of Quinlan and 11 grandchildren.

Billie Ethel Smith
Funeral services for Billie Ethel Smith, 81, of Wylie will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at the Wylie Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Combine.
Ministers John Seeley and Ron Coleman will officiate.
Mrs. Smith died May 19, 2008, in Rowlett.
She was born Nov. 23, 1926, in Dallas to the late Bill and Ethelene Cora (Burns) Madera.
Mrs. Smith had been a secretary at Johnston’s Manufacturing in Wylie and was a member of the Wylie Church of Christ.
Survivors include her son Mike Smith of Wylie; daughter Diane Vaughn of Clarkranger, Tenn.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband D. W. Smith.

Rita Gail Gracy
Funeral services for Rita Gail Gracy, 54, of Nevada will be held Friday at 2 p.m. May 23 at Allen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at the Nevada Cemetery.

Funeral services for Darla June Clemmons, 66, of Wylie were held May 20, 2008, at Cottonwood Church of Christ in Wylie. Interment followed at Cottonwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Clemmons died May 17, 2008, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Liberty Grove to the late Luther C. Foster and Dorris L. Richards. She had been a Wylie resident for 54 years and a longtime member of Cottonwood Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Wayne Clemmons of Wylie; sons, Steven W. Clemmons of Wylie, David Clemmons and his wife Stephanie of Richardson; brothers, James L. Foster of Dallas, Mickey D. Foster and his wife Pat, David O. Foster and Randy L. Spence of Wylie; sister, Charlotte J. Ross of Wylie; grandchildren, Parker and Caroline Clemmons of Richardson and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Dr. Joe Carlo Piranio; sons, Dennis Piranio and Bren Piranio; daughter, Renee’ Hatlelid; sister, Claudine Longoria of Houston and two grandchildren.

Bettie Joyce Piranio
Funeral services for Bettie Joyce Piranio, 79, of St. Louis, Mo. will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, at the First United Methodist Church, Celina. Interment will follow at Cottage Hill Cemetery in Celina. Visitation will precede the service from 1to 2 pm.
The Rev. Jodi Smith will officiate.
Mrs. Piranio died May 13, 2008.

Darrin R. McCrary
Memorial services for Darrin R. McCrary, 42, of Wylie were May 3, 2008, at First Baptist Church of Wylie.
Mr. McCrary was born Dec. 14, 1965, in Big Spring.
He died April 30, 2008.
Other survivors include his wife of 21 years, Sharla; sons, Chris and Devin; mother, Christy Barnes; stepmother, Jan McCrary; brothers, Casey and Shay; brother-in-law, Josh; mother-in-law, Lanelle Osborne; Charles and Kathy Osborne; brother-in-law, Michael Osborne and his wife Ashley and brother-in-law, Brian Baskeyfield. He was uncle to Brendon, Garrett, Paul, Caitlin, Madi, Tate, Brennen, Mackenzie and Coleman. He was preceded in death by his father Dan.
According to his family, he had a great love of music and was a huge fan of Tim Burton films. He was known for his sense of humor and easy-going style. They also said that he gave the ultimate gift of life by donating his organs which will improve the quality of life for others.
A memorial trust fund has been established for his sons Chris and Devin at Inwood National Bank, 200 S. Hwy 78, Wylie, TX 75098, Attn: Darrin McCrary Memorial Fund.
Arrangements were under the direction of Allen Family Funeral Options in Plano.
Maye Capps
Funeral services for Maye Capps, 86, of McKinney were held May 10, 2008, at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Interment followed at Ridgeview Cemetery in Allen.
The Rev. David Kautt officiated.
Mrs. Capps died May 7, 2008, in Allen.
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Celina to John Henry and Corrine (Bebbers) Keller.
Mrs. Capps had been a lifelong resident of McKinney. She and her sisters were the first triplets born in Collin County.
Survivors include son, Ronald Capps and his wife Connie; daughter, Shirley Shuler and her husband Rick, sisters, Louise Hill of McKinney, Faye Riley of McKinney and Raye Hancock of Garland; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren. Her husband, A.J. Capps, two brothers, one sister and one great-grandson preceded her in death.
L. Reneé Stone and Jaci Reneé Stone
Funeral services for L. Reneé and Jaci Reneé Stone were held May 12, 2008, at Patillo Baptist Church. Burial was at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.
Mother and daughter died May 8, 2008.
Mrs. Stone was born Jan. 7, 1965, in Fort Worth to Morton E. Gray and Golda Ann Lagow.
According to her family, she was a graduate of Boswell High School at Eagle Mountain Lake, a graduate of Texas Wesleyan College and received her nurse’s training from Tarleton State University. She married Johnny M. “Stone” Stone May 25, 1990, in Santo and was a member of the Patillo Baptist Church. She was actively involved in the VBS program and was nursery coordinator and sponsor for the Kidz At Camp in Glen Rose. She worked for John Peter Smith Hospital for 18 years and was active in the Life Gift Program.
Jaci Reneé was born Aug. 29, 1998, in Fort Worth and was a fourth-grade student at Santo Grade School. According to her family she was a lover of pets and had two rooms full of stuffed animals. She was active in baseball, basketball and golf, and she loved to swim. She was active with her church family and was baptized April 2, 2006.
Survivors include Mrs. Stone’s husband and Jaci Reneé’s father, Johnny M. Stone of Lipan; son and brother, AEAN Johnathan Taylor “J.T.” Stone USN; mother and grandmother, Golda Whitworth and her husband Don; father and grandfather, Morton Gray and his wife Linda; sisters and aunts, Terre Bridges and her husband Randy and Delissa “Lisa” Slimp and her husband Marvin; brother and uncle, Morton E. “Marty” Gray III, mother-in-law to Reneé, Helen M. Stone; sister-in-law, Rosie Stone and brother-in-law, Steven L. Stone and his wife Anne. Other grandparents include Ben and Dovie Udd and James and Julia Griffin, grandmother and great-grandmother Millie Whitworth, stepbrothers and sisters are Jimmy Don, Donnie, Tonya, Julie, Sonya and Jorita.

Karolyn Lou Johnson

Mrs. Johnson died May 5, 2008, at her home in Garland.
She was born Jan. 1, 1946, in Stroud, Okla., to the late Earl and Loretta (Johnson) Eason. She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Plano and had been a hairdresser for many years.
Survivors include her son, Marty Johnson of Garland; brother, Carl Eason of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Clara Pauline Demings

Mrs. Demings died May 9, 2008, in Plano.
She was born Oct. 9, 1919, in Allison, Okla. to the late Tom O. and Virginia Clay (Hall) Brown. She was married to the late Jess E. Demings Oct. 8, 1940, in Phillips. She was also preceded in death by son Tommy Demings.
Survivors include son, Marvin Demings of Wylie; brother, Johnny Mac Brown of Grants Pass, Ore.; sisters, Mildred Dillingham of Sherman and Tommie Stroud of Borger; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
